One of the best states to visit is defiantly Vermont by far. It has its own way of life and everything. In addition to it being such a great tourist town, it is a great town to live in. If you think about it, you have to have locals to have tourists. It is not your run of the mill place to be a tourist, but it is so much fun Vermont is mostly mountain terrain, so you get a lot of kayaking and hiking type activities. in addition, you will be enriched with art. At a local farmers market you are likely to see a commission artist selling homemade giclee prints. Vermont is such a unique spot to vacation no matter who you are.
One area I highly recommend visiting is Stowe, Vermont. It is relatively close to other interesting towns and is one of the most interesting towns in itself. It welcomes tourists to come experience all of its local flavor. Tourism is what allows it to stay alive and prosper, so by visiting Stowe you would be putting food on someone’s table. There are lots of local inns and lodges that you can pick from. Almost all of them have some kind of pool and outdoor facility. Seeing that you will be staying in the mountains, you should take advantage of all the outdoors sports that are available.
Don’t be scared if you don’t normal take part in outdoor sports. Many people are doing these things for their first times as well. Anything run by a business will make sure that you and your family are completely prepared and safe. If you have the desire to try an outdoor sport, you can succeed. Hiking is generally not very hard to do; if you can walk you can hike. A lot of it may be uphill and some may be over rocks, so bad knees may not fare well. Mountain biking and kayaking are a little more unique, but very conquerable! Don’t let fear keep you from having a great time.
Also, you definitely need to plan a trip to see Burlington, Vermont. Burlington is home to the University of Vermont and has the most unique spark of all the other cities. It is located right on the shore of Lake Champlain, so it is exceptionally beautiful. You can take a walk down to the shore or spend the day shopping. If you are going to shop, you defiantly want to go to Church Street. The street is blocked off from cars and is lined with awesome and unique shops and restaurants. Burlington is a breeding ground for fun and funky individuals.
Overall, Vacationing in Vermont is the right choice for everyone. It will provide you with a unique experience different from any other vacation. You may have to go outside your comfort zone while visiting, but it will only benefit you!
