Under Homes and Gardens
Because hardwood flooring has become a mainstay in many new homes, there is nothing quite like a well picked out area rugs. Having the proper area rug can accentuate your home’s style and drive the feel of a space in your home as an essential part your home’s décor. While this isn’t a new concept to interior design, it has taken a back seat over the years due to many homes being fully carpeted. Because of the very hard-line nature of carpeting, an area rug can be far more practical when it comes to design and decor. Let’s have a look at the advantages that area rugs have over carpet.
Since carpet has to cover the entire floor space of a given room it generally has to be neutral in color. This reduces the risk of an entire room looking tacky due to a crazy colored floor, which could be too “loud” for any décor. A beautifully patterned rug can become the focal point of a room, allowing you to decide the tone you want to set for that room. It can be the tone setter of a room or the entire home. It can also be something that gets passed on to your kids, who may identify it with “home”. This is why an area rug has so many advantages, because it can be so much more than just a soft place to sit on the floor.
On top of being far more flexible in how you chose to use it, an area rug is also way easier to replace, should your tastes and style change. Carpet requires far more hassle and cost to replace.
The beauty of area rugs gives you the freedom to express yourself compared to the boring neutrality of carpet. There are so many varieties of rugs out there that you’ll soon see yourself with more options than you were probably ready for. There are thousands of patterns, mixed with different styles and materials that you can choose from. With this kind of variety, you can find the precise texture, look and feel that you want in your area rugs. As you can see, area rugs have way more to offer than carpet - from being a soft and warm place to sit on a cold floor to being the focus of the entire look and feel of a room or home. They have the ability to be simple or complex and allow you to express yourself in your home décor in ways you simply cannot do with carpet. There is a lot more to area rugs than most folks give them credit for.

Under Travel
Inverness, often referred to as being the capital city of the Scottish Highlands, was eventually granted city status in the year 2001 and at this time is the only city in the Highlands. Unusually Inverness has no statutory boundaries which can cause problems with population assessments. The situation is made worse by the fact that the population is rising dramatically, the city has the highest growth rate in the UK. One of the things we know for certain is that the population of the city is rather happy, in 2008 the Telegraph took a survey of the quality of life in 189 cities in Britain and the city came fifth. Therefore, I think we can safely state that Inverness is a pretty alright place in which to stay for some time and this is more than likely one of the reasons which make the city incredibly popular with tourists. It is lucky then that there is a great deal of Inverness bed and breakfast accommodations with most of it being bookable online.
Inverness is also frequently referred to as the gateway to the Scottish Highlands for the obvious fact that it is best placed to make the most of the Highland public transport system and an incredible amount of tourist attractions are relatively easy to get to. Probably the best way to reach them is by using a tour or day trip. A few companies visiting places such as, Loch Ness, Culloden or Urquart Castle or for the adventurous tourists it is possible to visit such places as Orkney on a days round trip. It is also possible to go on a small number of city tours, such as those run by Tony Harmsworth.
A small amount of tourists stay in 2 different places in the Highlands of Scotland for example Inverness and Fort William. Fort William is very popular with sports folk especially ramblers, mountaineers and hill walkers who get excited climbing Ben Nevis which looks down upon the town. In a similar way to Inverness Fort William bed & breakfast and rather like other bed and breakfast accommodation in Scotland it is always inexpensive, excellent value for money and incredibly comfortable, tidy and clean with the best hospitality.
One of the most important things to know is that Inverness Airport is, roughly, seven miles from the city at Dalcross. It is easy to hail a cab or catch a bus to the small but busy airport which is fairly cheap. If you require maps of Inverness then you should get one of the free ones at the tourist office, on Castle Wynd in the town center. While you are enjoying your Inverness vacation you should make a mental note to visit the ’stone of tubs’ and Mercat Cross, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery and Inverness Castle especially the Castle Garrison Encounter, an enjoyable interactive experience.

Under Business
Thousands of small business owners who struggle in the trenches every day can benefit greatly from the following “focus points” that can guide their businesses to increased prosperity.
Maximize the positive, minimize the negative:
Business owners need to promote their goods and services by wrapping their sales pitches into effective value propositions that emphasize the benefits of their product and while anticipating the potential reasons a customer might have for not wanting to purchase said product. Accentuating the positive is so fundamental, it applies to the attitude of the business owner. For example, during an economic downturn, a salesman who is facing hard times might be tempted to let the customer know this during a sale. This angle of appealing to the customer’s pity is ill advised and can possibly backfire. A business owner/salesman who instead acts as if business has been great creates a much more effective “buying atmosphere “ for the customer.
Stay on the cutting edge of your field:
All businesses demand an understanding of some form of technology. Almost by definition, technology is always changing. Always stay at the top of your game by reading relevant trade magazines, going to conferences and reading up on the latest developments in your field. This can be a lot of work, even daunting at times. But with the right attitude it can also be a lot of fun and enhance not only your professional growth, but your personal growth as well.
Establish a Credit Card Processing Account:
Setting up a merchant account with all the major credit card companies is one of the most critical aspects of taking your business to the next level. The larger a potential client is, the more likely he or she will wish to pay you in the form of a credit card. Integrating Credit Card Processing into your business will enable you to pursue larger clients and which in turn increases the scale of your operations. As well Credit Card Processing is certainly needed to establish an e-commerce feature to your business’s website. This will further enable your business and exponentially broaden your potential reach of customers.
Continually cultivate new leads:
Generating new business leads can be difficult and involve a lot of grunt work. And it’s worth it. Establish a “new business” workflow ; a time of day designated for making cold calls and/or web research aimed at finding new prospective customers. Once these new business efforts become a part of your day, they become easier and you will develop your own signature way of promoting your business.
Give customers more value than they’re expecting:
Creating a bright picture is essential to the selling process. At the same time, carefully tailoring customer expectations of said product can set the stage not only for customer satisfaction but also increased repeat business. In your business, aim to deliver a little more than what you’re promising. This could be in the form of a warrantee or some sort of promotional offer. As ambitious as it might sound, the salesman should strive to have the customer become a fan.
Maintain customer relationships:
In the day to day routine of operating a business, little things can pay off big. Putting in a call to a customer to check in, sending a Christmas card, or a personalized email can often sow the seeds for great future business prospects. The best advertising is ultimately referral based. Keeping in touch with past customers is a wonderful way to energize good word-of-mouth advertising
